Raymond J. Cross, 81, of Marcus Hook died Friday, October 14, 2011 at Riddle Memorial Hospital. He was born to Raymond and Margaret Cross in Linwood, where he was reared and educated. He was a graduate of Eddystone High School. Raymond was a veteran of both the US Army and US Navy. He enjoyed boating, fishing, going to the beach, woodworking and traveling. What he enjoyed most, however, was time spent with his family.

He was predeceased by his Wife, Alva “Tootie” Cross, who died in 1996. He is survived by his Daughters, Kathy Crothers of Marcus Hook and Alva Sutton of Media; Grandson, Christopher Sutton; Granddaughters, Holly Borst and Amy Hayes; 9 Great-grandchildren.

His Memorial service will be celebrated on Thursday, October 20th at 7pm at the Joseph A. Ward Funeral Home, 1459 Market St., Linwood, Pa. Friends and family are invited to call from 6pm-7pm at the funeral home. Burial will be private.
