JeanMarie Esslinger, 66, of New Castle, DE, formerly of Linwood, PA, died Saturday, August 29th at Christiana Hospice. Born in Chester to James E. III {Eddie} and Anne Mortimer Esslinger, she was raised and educated in the Linwood section of Lower Chichester. Jean graduated from Chichester High School class of 1977. She worked for Southeast National Bank in Chester for many years and later for Fidelity bank. Before her retirement, she worked as a supervisor for Discover Card. Jean loved to travel around the world, especially her trips to the casino. She enjoyed Friday night pizza and wings, reading, and watching TV.Jean loved her family dearly and gave generously throughout her life. She is survived by her four sisters: Maureen Litwa, Madeline Connor, Michele, and Maryanne Esslinger; one brother: James E. Esslinger IV {Eddie}; nieces and nephews: Christopher, Brandon, Dylan {Godchild}, Tiffany, Erica, and James; great nieces and nephews: Kyleigh, Nathan, Kaylee, Cheyanne, Reef, Renaldo, and Mickel; great-great niece and nephew: Brielle and Landon; and many cousins and friends.   Services will be held privately.
