William C. Hickey Jr., age 72, of Lincoln University, PA, formerly of Upper Chichester, PA, died peacefully with his family by his side on Monday, November 2, 2026.  Born in Chester to William C. Sr. and Christine Obier Hickey. Bill was reared and educated in the Chichester School District and graduated from Chichester High School with the class of 1972. He then went on to West Chester University to earn a bachelor’s degree in law enforcement.  He began his career as a part- time police officer with the Upper Chichester Police Department for 3 years, before transitioning to full time for 30 years, retiring as a Sergeant in 2009.

Bill was a member of Penn Lodge No. 709 F. & A. M.

An avid outdoorsman, Bill loved boating, fishing and hunting. He especially loved his dogs. Most of all, he cherished spending time with his family.

Wife of 38 years: Barbara A. Mastro Hickey

Son: Jeffrey M. Hickey (Tracy)

Brother-in-law: Tony Mastro (Bobbi Lynn)

Nieces: Lindsey and Melisa Mastro

Also survived by many cousins.

Memorial Service: Thursday, November 12th at 11:00AM at the Minshall Shropshire Bleyler-Carr Ward Funeral Home, Middletown (Rte. #352) & Knowlton Rds., Media PA 19063, where there will be calling from 9:30-11:00AM.

Burial will be private.
