Bonnie L. Kulakowski, 62 years young, died suddenly at home. Bonnie was born in Chester, PA on September 23, 1963. She resided in Marcus Hook, PA. Her father Chester Kulakowski; her mother, Doris Kulakowski; her sisters Candice Powell-Sparklin (Harry) and Margaret Powell-Caton (John) preceded her in death.
Bonnie is survived by her son, Alfredo Rivera (Nancy) of Jacksonville, FL, her life-long friend Alfredo Rivera, of Kingsland, GA, two sisters, Marlene Powell-Sargent (Sarge) of Marcus Hook, PA and Melody Kulakowski-Scavicchio (Dominick) of Garnet Valley, PA as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Bonnie grew up in Delaware County and graduated from Chester High School in 1981. She became a secretary and receptionist. She worked at the Lottery store. She spent many happy days with her son and his wife, her sisters and dearest friend Cheryl Rooney-Akley.
Bonnie enjoyed rocking in her favorite chair, Karaoke, singing and dancing. One of her favorite sayings was, “My son is my sunshine on a cloudy day”. She enjoyed bringing family and friends together to listen to her beautiful voice at gatherings.
Bonnie was always full of life. She gave nicknames to everyone. She appreciated the beauty of the sunrise and sunset and especially the color of leaves during the fall season. Bonnie would love to count how many stars she saw in the night sky. Her hobbies were playing Bingo with Rene and thrifting with Melody. She would take Alfredo to parks and rivers to show him the beauty of nature. Bonnie believed the simple things in life were important.
One of Bonnie’s favorite gags was when Alffredo and Bonnie gave young Alfredo a woman’s shoe box with an iPod inside; a Christmas memory Alfredo will cherish.
Family and friends will remember Bonnie as the kindest, sweetest person who cared about others. She was a God-fearing woman and the best mother ever to her son, Alfredo Matthew Rivera. Bonnie will be dearly missed.
