  1. Chris was an astronomical help to me as I started my career at GSK in 2023. He was an expert on the piece of equipment I was training on and went above and beyond in answering every single question I had and offering additional support. We weren’t even on the same team, he was just willing to help. He was such an easy guy to have a conversation with, and a great basketball player. Sending love and prayers to his family.

  2. Chris, you were a bright light to the days I worked in the office. I loved your visits to the open office and talking to you about football and my fantasy teams. You presence will be greatly missed.

  5. My thoughts and prayers are with Chris’s family during this difficult time. I met Chris when I worked at Maris Grove. He was always so cheerful. Always laughing, joking and smiling. I looked forward to seeing him every shift. I crossed paths again with Chris a few years ago. He actually reached out about a job I was applying for at GSk on his team. He offered words of encouragement and advice. He was such a kind person, who would go out of his way to help in any way he could. The world needs more people like Chris. He will be greatly missed.

  6. Chris was a dynamic, energetic, passionate person who strived to be the best that he could be (work, play etc.). He also loved to talk, and he talked to everyone! — new hires, technicians, security, students, directors, everyone. The comment of him being the mayor of West Chester made me laugh, as he was on his way to being the mayor of GSK.
    I will miss his conversations.
Deepest sympathy to his Mother, family and all his friends!
He will be sorely missed by many.

He was a very kind person and will be missed. Sending my deepest condolences and prayers to you all during these difficult times.

  12. I’ve had the pleasure of working with Chris since we both started at GSK in 2020. The energy and humor Chris brought to work every day were contagious. Every interaction with Chris left me with a smile on my face. Chris was incredibly intelligent and always willing to help. Whenever I had lab automation issues, Chris was my go-to person. He was reliable and went out of his way to help me more times than I can count. I also had the fortune of attending SLAS in Boston last year with Chris, where we spent most of the conference hanging out, networking, and even visiting Fenway Park. He was passionate about work and a great friend to many. Chris will be deeply missed.

  14. It feels surreal with out him. I can’t put to words the loss of Cwell. He was the silliest goose of the 350. Always looking ti make light of something or joke to get the laugh is something I will never froget. He always had an aurora of goodtime vibes with him. And rumblemintz.

It was a blessing to have him as friend.

  17. There are very few people in my life that I can recall the exact moment when I met them – Chris Welsh is one of those people. We met on the softball field at GSK when Chris was new to our team and he proceeded to tell me about all of the things he would do to help the team and the league. Not only did he do them, he went above and beyond what he promised. On game day Chris was always the first person at the field, raking the infield, setting baselines, pitching batting practice and helping in any way he could and always with a smile. Once the games began – he was our teams Bryce Harper, Zack Wheeler and Pedro Cerrano. Post game Chris was always to first person to break the ice with the opposing team and mingle, even after a hard fought battle. Chris was an active ambassador for the league, donating his time and expertise to make the league better for everyone and was in prime position to lead the league operations. Any time I encountered Chris at work he was never too busy to stop and chat – recently connecting me to someone that helped me on a strategic project – he was just as passionate about his career as he was about playing softball. I send my deepest sympathy and caring wishes to all of Chris’s family.

  18. Donna and family:
Chris was bigger than life. Kind, friendly. An amazing guy. He will be missed. So sorry for your loss.
