Daniel Berstler died May 17, 2026 at Fitzgerald Mercy Hospital. The son of James and Catherine Berstler, he was born and raised in South West Philadelphia where he graduated from John Bartram High School.

Daniel served as an SP4 in the United States Army. He took up engineering and was the Army base General Electrician at Nike Missile sites in New York. He was also a certified marksman.

As a civilian he worked for O’Hara Brothers Machine Company in Media, Pennsylvania, where he was a machinist for over 30 years. His hobbies included stamp collecting, coin collecting, and sport card collecting. He also graduated from the Famous Artists Institute.

He was predeceased by his brother, Charles (aka Dick), sister Isabel, and sister Dorothy. He is survived by his brother, Jim Berstler.

His ashes will be buried at Glenwood Memorial Gardens, 2321 West Chester Pike, Broomall, PA 19008, where he will rest with his father James, his mother Catherine and his wife Vera. Burial will be private.
