May 23rd, 2026

Kenneth A. Turner, 66, of Trainer, PA, passed away May 20, 2026, at Riddle Hospital. Kenneth was born and raised in Linwood, PA. In his youth he was a member of DeMolay and then a member of Penn lodge 709. He received his GED from Chichester High School Class of 1977. Thereafter, Kenneth enlisted in the US Marine Corps. After completing basic training in 1977, Kenneth was assigned to a sub tender in Guam. He was promoted to Lance Corporal.  In 1981, Kenneth returned to civilian life with an honorable discharge. He secured an apprenticeship with Steamfitters of Philadelphia Local 420 and established himself as a well-respected journeyman. He is remembered as a beloved mentor whose hard work, humor and good nature endeared him to his fellow fitters.

Kenneth was an avid hunter spending his time with friends; hunting in the Poconos and New Jersey. With several trophy mounts displayed in his house. He loved to ride his motorcycle everywhere and was enthusiastic about hotrods. He learned to scuba dive in the corps and re-certified when he was back in Guam for work. He enjoyed underwater relics and his treasures would sit proudly around his house. Kenny also loved music and was taking guitar lessons up until the end. His love of reading trickled down to his three daughters, where Christmas was filled with book exchanges. Two of his favorites were To Kill A Mockingbird and The Hobbit.

If you were a stranger to Kenny, it wouldn’t last long, from the first hello, he knew you. His smile and laughter were infectious, and your day got better just by being in his presence. He was charismatic, friendly and he left you with a warm feeling.
