Anthony J. DiMeglio, Sr. “Tony,” 75, of Trainer PA passed away Friday August 21st at Riddle Hospital. Media PA. Born in Chester to Harry and Genevieve Brogley DiMeglio he was reared and educated in Aston Twp. He graduated from Sun Valley High school with the class of 1969. Tony worked as a welder for the Sun Ship & Dry dock Co. in Chester for 10 years. Then he was a mechanic for Lou’s Auto in Chester for 30 years before his retirement in 2008. He enjoyed Philly sports especially the Phillies and Eagles and was involved in several bowling leagues around Delaware County.
In addition to his parents, Anthony was predeceased by his wife Betty Suloff DiMeglio who passed away in 2018, Children Frank DiMeglio who passed away 2018 and Robert Suloff who passed away 2021 and daughter Michelle Suloff McMaster who passed away in 2019. Sister Angie Krider who passed away in 2015 and his granddaughter Ashley M. DiMeglio who passed away in 2014.
Anthony is survived by three sons Butch Suloff {Beth}. Anthony J. DiMeglio Jr. with whom his father made his home in Trainer and Damian A. DiMeglio of Florida. Siblings Davidette Baxter, Josephine McCoy, Benita Meehan {Robert}, Anna Simmons {Steve}. 13 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. His loving caregivers Jamie German and Brittney Clancy. It is also important to mention his 16 year old dog Ginger who was his constant companion.
Anthony’s funeral service will be 11am Friday August 28th at the Ward funeral home, 1459 Market St. Linwood where there will be calling from 10 to 11. Burial will follow in Mt. Hope cemetery Aston.
