Norman Guarinello passed away suddenly on July 7th at Beebe Hospital in Lewes, De.
He was raised in Boothwyn and attended Boothwyn Elementary School, Chichester Junior High and Chichester High School class of 1963. Attended Pennsylvania Military College graduating as a US Army 2nd Lieutenant. Received his master’s degree from Salve Regina University, Rhode Island. Attended US Army War College in Carlisle, Pa.
Served during the Vietnam War at Fort Sill and Fort Lee as an Artillery Officer. Served as an active Army Signal Officer with the National Guard Bureau in Washington D.C. He ended his career as a Lieutenant Colonel.
He loved playing golf, cooking crabs for the family, traveling with college friends and his yearly trip to Disney World Florida.
He was predeceased by his parents, Angelo and Thelma Guarinello and infant son Alan Guarinello. He is survived by his doting wife, Kay Kilmon Guarinello, his adoring daughters Karie Gosnell and Kristin Tay, his affectionate grandchildren Samantha Guarinello, Nick Gosnell and wife Sarah, twins Jordan Gosnell and Jared Gosnell, and Hunter Tay. His sister in laws, Patricia Theodore and Nancy Kilmon along with his cousin Beverely Massey.
Norman was a member of Del Vets Post #1, Wilmington, Elks Wilmington #307, Unity Lodge Newport, De.
The family thanks the loving support over the years by the Chichester class of 1963 and the devoted and affectionate love of his PMC college Brothers.
His Funeral Service will be held on Monday, July 15th, 2024 at 11am at Linwood United Methodist Church, 1627 Chichester Ave, Linwood, Pa. Friends and family are invited for viewing from 9:30am-11am in church. Burial at Lawn Croft Cemetery in Linwood, Pa. Luncheon following at Ballrooms at Boothwyn, Boothwyn Pa

The words resonated in the Chichester alma mater binds us with Love.

I worked with Norm in Edgewood at the National Guard Bureau. He always brought a positive energy to our office and was a pleasure to work with. I was very saddened to learn of his passing. I hope many loving memories bring peace and comfort to his family and friends in the days ahead.
A wonderful husband, father and family friend. You will be missed.

Ducksy was one of the pillars of our high school class and a wonderful friend to all of us. Our hearts are heavy at his loss. He and Kay were the ultimate couple of devotion. Kay and family please accept my deepest condolences.
