Norberto D. Ferriera (Dias), 93, of Upper Chichester passed away on Sunday, February 1st, 2026 Surrounded by his family. He was born in Chester to the late, Manuel and Mary Dias Ferreira. He was raised in Linwood and attended Chichester High School. Norberto was a veteran of the US Coast Guard with whom he served for 4 years. He spent many years as a lab technician for the DuPont Company until his retirement. He also worked for many years at the Brandywine Racetrack.
Norberto was a horse racing enthusiast. He also enjoyed spending time at his beach house and with family and friends.
He was predeceased by his wife, Barbara Ferreira (2017); son, Norman Jeffrey Ferreira (2023); brother, Manuel Dias Ferreira.
He is survived by his children, Jacqueline Ferreira (Scott), Janice Carlson (Otto), James Ferreira, Joyce Adams (John); 8 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; sister, Anita Bowhall.
His funeral services and burial will be private.

I have many wonderful childhood and teen year memories in Avalon. What fun times we had when I went with you, Aunt Dukie, Jeff and Jackie!! You were a great father who provided for your family.
