Catherine M. Flynn, 64, of Marcus Hook passed away suddenly on June 1, 2025 at Christiana Hospital. She was born in Chester to the late Joseph and MaryAnna Liberato. Catherine was raised and educated in Linwood and was a graduate of Chichester High School with the class of 1979. She attended Vo-Tech for food services and went on to work in restaurant management for many years.
Catherine enjoyed making ceramics. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her son, Joseph Flynn, Jr.; siblings, Theodore Liberato, Joseph Liberato, Jr., Mary Berrie, Robert Liberato, and Patrick Liberato.
She is survived by her husband of 33 years, Joseph Flynn, Sr.; daughter, Gabrielle Flynn- Gardner (Eric); Siblings, Elizabeth Stubblebine, Teresa Liberato (Anna), Margaret Liberato (David); Daniel Liberato (Janice); grandchildren, Lucas Lawless, Hunter Flynn, Christopher Flynn, Maverick Flynn, and Iris Gardner; many nieces and nephews.
Friends and family are invited to her viewing on Thursday, June 5th from 6:30-7:30pm at the Joseph A. Ward Funeral Home 1459 Market St. Linwood, PA. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in her name can be made to Hope on Deck at https://hopeondeck.org/

Catherine was a dear friend that I met as a hospital roommate during covid. She loved her family with all her heart. She was so kind, caring and giving. I loved her and will miss her.
