Daniel James Scavicchio Jr. passed away unexpectedly on March 10, 2025, at the age of 34. Born in Marcus Hook, PA, Daniel was a graduate of Chichester High School, Class of 2008, and Ursinus University, where he earned his dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in Neuroscience and Psychology in 2012.
Daniel was a deeply passionate individual with many pursuits. He earned his third-degree black belt and served as a Tang Soo Do karate instructor, sharing his knowledge and love for martial arts with others. Daniel was also a licensed massage therapist, a behavioral health technician, and a youth caseworker, committed to helping others and making a positive impact in his community.
Daniel’s hobbies reflected his vibrant personality, including a love for playing billiards, camping, fishing, board games, reading, and writing short stories. His greatest passion of all was fitness and martial arts, which he dedicated much of his life to.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Daniel A. and Claire R. Scavicchio, and his maternal grandfather, Robert J. Zukowski. Daniel is survived by his parents, Daniel Sr. and Kathleen Scavicchio, his sisters, Grace Scavicchio and Julia (Michael) Warren, as well as a wide network of extended family, including many cousins who held him dear. Daniel was a precious son, beloved brother, and friend to all.
A viewing will take place on Saturday, March 15, 2025, at St. John Fisher Church, 4225 Chichester Avenue, Boothwyn, PA, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by a Catholic Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM. Afterward, the family invites all to join them for a Celebration of Life luncheon from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Ballroom at the Phoenix, 1661 Mill Road, Boothwyn, PA.
The family requests that donations in Daniel’s memory be made to Castaway Cats of Bear, DE. Donations can be made online at https://www.castawaycatsde.com/. Floral gifts may be directed to St. John Fisher Church to be present during the viewing and Mass.
Daniel’s memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew him. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of crossing his path.

Dan was a beautiful soul and a valued friend. He was far too good of a person to be lost to us this soon. My deepest condolences to the family.

It was a joy having Danny as our nephew. Steve and I have so many fond memories from our many family parties and get-togethers thru the years. When I think of Danny the word’s good hearted and kind come to mind. So sorry he left us this soon. Danny is loved and will be missed. So heartbroken. May he rest in the arms of Jesus our Lord.
