Aaron “Ernie” Simms, 86, of Claymont, DE passed away on Thursday, October 23rd, 2014 at Wilmington, Hospital. He was born in Philadelphia to the late Alexander and Catherine Simms. He was a graduate of Bartram High School. Ernie went on to work for General Chemical for many years until his retirement. What he enjoyed most was spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Josephine Starrantino Simms; Daughter, Mary Komdat and her husband, Erich; Grandchildren, Ricky, Danny and Jeffrey Komdat.

His funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, October 28th at 10:30am at Holy Rosary Church in Claymont, DE. Friends and family are invited to call on Monday evening from 7pm-9pm and again on Tuesday morning from 9am-10am at the Joseph A. Ward Funeral Home, 1459 Market St., Linwood, PA. Burial will follow in Immaculate Heart of Mary Cemetery, Linwood, PA.
