William R. Sparks, Sr., 76, of Chester passed away on Monday, June 17th, 2013 at Crozer Chester Medical Center. He was born to Joseph and Maryellen Sparks in Chester, where he was reared and educated. He was an avid sports fan who especially enjoyed the Phillies, pro wrestling and playing pool. What he enjoyed most, however, was time spent with his family.

He is predeceased by his first wife, Wanda R. Sparks; Daughters, Wanda Sparks and Gloria Sparks; Step-son, James Fetterman; Brothers, Edward Steelman, James Sparks and Joseph Sparks, Jr.; Sisters, Ida Mae Sheerer and Mary Sherry. He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Rosemarie Sparks; Sons, William Sparks, Jr., Clint Sparks, Karl Sparks, John Sparks, Wayne Ritter; Daughter, Theresa Faust; Sister, Rosemary Garrison (Arthur Boscher); 8 Grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; Friends, Wanda Green, Richard Gownley, Harry Hagan and Florence Keaton; Many nieces and nephews.

His funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 22nd at 7pm at the Joseph A. Ward Funeral Home, 1459 Market St., Linwood, Pa. Friends and family are invited to call from 6pm-7pm at the funeral home. Burial will be private.
