William E. Thomas – 8/12/2022

August 16th, 2022

“If your nose is running and your feet smell, you might be upside down.” -William E. Thomas

William E. Thomas, 57, of Wilmington, DE passed suddenly the evening of August 12, 2022 at home. William was born at Crozer Chester Medical Center in Chester, Pennsylvania on November 30, 1964.   He finished high school at Howard High in Delaware in 1982. He enlisted into the United States Army, First Calvary. While stationed in Texas, Will refined his dislike for the Dallas Cowboys. After leaving the military he started his career at the United States Postal Service.

Will loved his wife Cynthia and his daughter Bronwyn. His favorite thing was Eagle Sundays, but he watched any and all sports even ones that were lesser known. He loved anything competitive, even in everyday life. He knew any classic rock trivia and words to every song.  He loved to travel and see new things. Will would find an Eagles fan anywhere (GO EAGLES!) and would not be happy when they didn’t respond the same.  He would make a new friend anywhere by offering a helping hand or a laugh (whether they wanted it or not).

He is survived by his wife Cynthia Thomas and their daughter Bronwyn N Thomas; sisters, Jackie (Bob) McCardle, Bonnie Rhoades, Becky Thomas; and his nieces. He was preceded in death by his mother, Diane Carrafa; his father, Earl Jackson Thomas; step-mother, Fran Thomas.

His funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 18th at 11am at the Joseph A. Ward Funeral Home 1459 Market St. Linwood, Pa.  Friends and family are invited for visitation from 10-11am.  Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your favorite charity in Will’s name.
