William Edward Sheppard

Marcus Hook, PA — William Edward Sheppard, known to most as Bill, passed away on March 1, 2025. Born on May 27, 1953, Bill grew up in Prospect Park, PA, and graduated from Interboro High School.

Bill co-owned Sheppard’s Motor Parts, formerly David Motor Parts, in Prospect Park—a family business that became a local fixture throughout the 1970s and 1980s. An accomplished automotive machinist, Bill was highly regarded in the Tri-State racing community for his skill in building race car engines. He took pride in drag racing his ’55 Chevy at tracks like Cecil County, Englishtown, and Atco.

He enjoyed family vacations to Disney World, Las Vegas, and weekends spent at the Woodlands Campground in Maryland, where he made many lasting memories with family and friends.

Bill is survived by his daughter Michelle (Daniel), son Christopher (Katherine), and three grandchildren: Jack, Gracie, and Bryce.

His funeral services will be private
