Wayne L. Garrett of Parkesburg, Pa passed away on Saturday, February 14th. Wayne was a graduate of Chichester High School. After graduation, he went on to work for General Chemical for 30 years. Wayne enjoyed his time playing softball for General Chemical. He also had a love of the outdoors enjoying fishing, hunting, camping and boating. He was an avid sports fan and he also liked watching westerns and action movies with his family.
He was predeceased by his parents, Thomas Garrett and Ella May DeHaven; brother, Thomas Garrett “Junior”; sister, Jean Burchette.
He is survived by his son, Bud Garrett and his daughter, Katie Garrett; grandchildren, Roman, Fallon, Mary, Travis and Lilly; siblings, George Garrett, Ruthann Bailey, Ella May Ferrari.
His memorial service will be held on Monday, March 2nd at 12pm at the Joseph A. Ward Funeral Home 1459 Market St. Linwood, PA. Friends and family are invited for visitation from 11am-12pm. Burial will be private.
