Vivian C. Bartholf

Vivian C. Bartholf, 84, of Upper Chichester passed away on June 2nd at Riddle Memorial Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was born and raised in Chester to Orazio and Sophie Calvarese, where she was a graduate of Chester High School with the class of 1945. After graduation, she went on to attend Temple University where she studied accounting. Vivian worked in the accounting department for Pruitt Aircraft and several banks throughout the area until her retirement.

Vivian was a long-time member of St. John Fisher Catholic Church. Her devotion and faith to the Catholic Church guided her throughout her life. She was also a generous contributor to many Children’s charities. She enjoyed her retirement in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware where she hosted her family and friends for vacations. Vivian was an avid fan of the Phillies and Eagles. What she enjoyed most, however, was time spent with her family. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister.

She was predeceased by her loving husband, Francis Bartholf, who died in 2007. She is survived by 2 daughters, Clare Van Horn (Steve) of Twin Oaks and Loraine Fancher (Bernie) of Wilmington, De; Son, Frank Bartholf (Christine) of Forestell, Missouri; grandchildren, Don and Monica Van Horn, Bernadette and Tommy Fancher, and Nick and Luke Bartholf; Sister, Clara C. Horne.

Her funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, June 9th at 10:30am at St. John Fisher Church in Boothwyn. Friends and family are invited to call from 9:30-10:30 am in church. Burial will follow in Lawn Croft cemetery, Linwood, Pa.

Contributions in her name can be made to St. Jude’s Hospital for Children or the St. John Fisher Building Fund.
