Virginia L. Ellis Bernard, 83, of Aston passed away on Sunday, February 2nd, 2014 at her home. She was born to the late Werner and Barbara Ellis. She was raised and educated in Trainer where she attended Resurrection School. Virginia enjoyed watching sports, especially the Phillies and Eagles. She also enjoyed gardening.

She was predeceased by two sisters, Catherine Coppock and Patricia Manerchia. She is survived by her husband, Joseph Bernard; Sons, Joseph (Pat), Robert, David (Kim); Daughter, Susan DeFonzo (Jim); Brother, Werner Ellis; 6 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.

Her funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 6th at 11am at the Joseph A. Ward Funeral Home, 1459 Market St., Linwood, PA. Friends and family are invited to call from 10am-11am at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Lawncroft Cemetery.
