Ruth M. Wolfe Luongo, 89, of Linwood passed away on September 29th at Crozer Chester Medical Center. She was born in Linwood, where she lived her entire life, to Charles and Maude Wolfe. She graduated from Eddystone High School with the class of 1946. Ruth worked for several local banks, Pileggi Construction, Dr. Luongo and was a bookkeeper for Bill Smith, CPA for many years until her retirement in 2010. She was also the owner/operator of Hour Glass Gift Shop in Linwood for several years. She enjoyed playing cards for pennies with her family and friends every weekend at Aunt Edna’s. She was predeceased by her husband, Dr. Ralph Luongo (1989); 11 siblings.
She is survived by her children, Joseph Delikat, Susan Delikat, and Nancy Witherspoon; sister, Edna Murphy; 8 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren.
Her funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 3rd at 11am at the Joseph A. Ward Funeral Home 1459 Market St. Linwood, PA. Friends and family are invited to call from 10-11am at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Lawn Croft Cemetery.
