Roy E. Hudson, 75, of Marcus Hook passed away on Sunday, August 3^rd 2020.  He was born in Bennettsville, SC to the late Mary Alice Hudson. He was raised in Latta, SC before joining the Navy.  Following his time in the Forces, he settled in Delaware County in the 1960’s.  Roy was the owner and operator of Hudson Roofing until his retirement.  He was a horse racing enthusiast.  Roy also enjoyed playing cards and bowling.  His favorite pastime was sitting on his stoop and talking with his family and neighbors.

He was predeceased by his wife, Judith Hudson; daughter, Carolyn Hudson; brothers, Boyd Hudson and Francis Gerald.  He is survived by his children, Barry Gaither (Pam Verdi), Sharon Hudson, and Holly Ciaranca (Tony) He is also survived by his sister Patricia Sandhu, his devoted niece Jill Hughes (Bob), 12 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Friends and family are invited to his viewing on Monday, August 10^th from 10-11am at the Joseph A. Ward Funeral Home 1459 Market St. Linwood, Pa.  A graveside service and burial will follow at Lawn Croft Cemetery.
