Robert S. Kester, 58, of Upper Chichester passed away on Sunday, December 21^st at his home.  He was born in Chester and was raised and educated in Upland.  Bob was a graduate of St. James High School with the class of 1985.  He worked as a machinist for most of his career, most recently for the Mapei Company.  He was a longtime member of the Upland AC. Bob was also an avid fan of the Washington Redskins.  He enjoyed baking, making soup, and beef jerky.  Bob was a man devoted to his Christian Faith.

He was predeceased by his parents, Jeremiah, and Cecelia Kester; brother-in-law, Joe Sweeny.

He is survived by his children, Nicholas Schiedel, Eric Schiedel (Katherine), and Joshua Kester; siblings, Jerry Kester (Nancy), Stacie Hall (Wayne), AnnMarie Sweeny, Michael Kester (Debbie), Edward Kester; 1 grandson; longtime friends, Brandi DiNenno, and Frank and Melissa Jenkins

His funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 27^th at 11am at the Joseph A. Ward Funeral Home 1459 Market St. Linwood, PA.  Friends and family are invited to his viewing from 10-11am.  Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations in his name can be made to St. Jude’s Hospital for Children.
