Robert J. Hefton, Sr.

Robert J. “Popeye” Hefton, Sr., 86, of Linwood died Monday Nov. 13^th at Crozer Chester Medical Center. Born in Upland to Daniel Sr. and Ella Hanby Hefton, he spent his entire life in Chester and Linwood. He worked as a machinist for the Scott Paper Company for 45 years until his retirement. He was an avid bowler.

Husband of the late Elsie Clarke Hefton who died in 2011. Survived by one son Robert J. Hefton, Jr. of Linwood; Two daughters, Beverly Covert of Millsboro, DE and Cindy Mazzaferro of Linwood; Sister, Mariam; two grandchildren and four great- grandchildren.

Visitation will be Friday Nov. 17^th from 10 to 11:30 at the Ward Funeral Home 1459 Market St. Linwood. Burial will be private.
