Richard C. Crawford, Jr., 60, of Marcus Hook passed away on Saturday, October 11th, 2014 at Crozer Keystone Hospice. He was born in Valley Forge to the late Richard “Snookie” and Patricia Crawford. He was raised and educated in Marcus Hook. He worked as a bridge and building engineer and inspector for Amtrak. Richard was a former member of the Viscose Fire Company and was formerly employed by the Marcus Hook Police department. He enjoyed fishing and crabbing, as well as watching sports and eating crabs at Lefty’s. He was also an avid fan of the Phillies.
In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his sister, Bonnie Malascalza. He is survived by his three children, Rick Crawford of Brookhaven, Candice McClure of Boothwyn and Nick Crawford of Boothwyn; 6 grandchildren, Nick, Kayla, Michael, Connor, Kylee and Angelo; Brother, Danny Crawford; Many nieces and nephews.
His funeral service will be celebrated on Thursday, October 16th at 11am at the Joseph A. Ward Funeral Home, 1459 Market St., Linwood, PA. Friends and family are invited to call on Wednesday evening from 6-8pm and again on Thursday morning from 10-11am. Burial will follow in Lawn Croft Cemetery.
