Reece J. Moore – 88 years old, long-time resident of Marcus Hook, Pennsylvania passed away on Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at Spring Field Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center with his daughter, Cheryl, by his side after a long battle with Parkinson’s Disease.
Reece was a member of the Viscose Fire Company, the Red Men Association and the Marcus Hook Senior Citizens. Reece retired in 1996 after many years as a pipe fitter for Viscose Corporation and BP Oil.
You could find Reece in his spare time using his woodworking talents creating beautiful masterpieces, playing BINGO on Saturdays, winning a few jackpots at the casino, or savoring breakfast at a local diner. He was also an avid reader and enjoyed watching western movies. Above all else, Reece loved going on adventures with his family and treasured the time he spent with them.
Reece will be missed tremendously by all of those that knew him. He was such a caring and selfless person who would help you at the drop of a dime and give you the shirt off of his back if needed.
He was predeceased by his wife, Doris Ann Moore; daughter in-law, Jeanne Moore; sister, Betty Lewis; brother, Robert Moore, Jr. He is survived by his children Bruce Moore and Cheryl (Robert) Walls; grandchildren Michael (Lynn) Moore, Matthew (Jamie) Moore, Nicholas Moore, Cassie Moore, and Mikala Moore; great grandchildren Michael, Jr., Madison, Hailey, Joseph, Chloe, Mason, Owen and Kailey.
Reece’s wishes were to have a private burial and no funeral service.
