Patricia A. Ruditys

April 3rd, 2024

Patricia (“Patti”) A. Ruditys, 74, of Trainer passed away peacefully at home on April 3rd , 2024. She was born in Chester to the late
Francis and Margaret Pilkington.  In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her son, Robert Ruditys; sister, Margaret Foerster; brother, Pete Pilkington.
Patti was a graduate of Chichester High School with the class of 1968, where she met her husband, Bill Ruditys. Patti and Bill have been happily married for 55 wonderful years. The most important thing to Patti were her family and friends. Patti loved life and made sure that everyone felt loved and included. Patti loved to shop. The main purpose of her trips to JC Penny or Marshalls was to make sure that she spoiled her family and friends with the best gifts you could imagine. Patti’s love could especially be felt when she invited you to her favorite place “Mom-Mom and Pop-Pop’s beach house” in Pots Nets, Delaware. If you knew Patti you knew that there was always room at the beach house, where a cold drink and hot crabs would be waiting for you.
While at home in Pennsylvania, Patti could be found playing cards with her friends into the early morning hours. All of her friends would agree that she was quite the card shark. When she was not playing cards, Patti could be found enjoying life and having a good time. Whether it be a party or an Elvis Presley impersonator show, Patti was always living life to the fullest.
Patti’s most prized possessions or “apples of her eye” were her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She never missed a sporting event, dance recital, birthday, graduation, or special event. She will be greatly missed by anyone that had the pleasure of meeting her.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Bill Ruditys; children, Michael Ruditys (Carynn) and Greg
Ruditys; grandchildren, Brian (Ashley), Brooke (Daniel), and Jessica; great-grandchildren, Charles and Vivienne; brother,
Joseph Pilkington; several nieces and nephews.

Her Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, April 8th at 11am at St. John Fisher Church 4225 Chichester
Ave. Boothwyn, PA. Friends and family are invited for visitation from 9-11am in church. Burial will be
private.

  1. Bill and family we are just hearing of Patty’s passing and are so sorry to hear this news. She adored her family and we know how much she will be missed. I have fond memories of our “boys” high school football days and Football Mothers Club. She was a dedicated football Mom. Nothing was too much for her to do and we enjoyed doing it all. She was a good, caring, nice person as you all know. We know you will treasure your memories.

  4. My Mom-Mom’s life was measured in love.
Love for her husband, children, grandchildren, & great grandchildren. Any event we had mom-mom and pop-pop were always there. Christmas morning santa came and mom-mom & pop-pop had 3 more trash bags filled with goodies.
We would always go to shows together and she would take me to play cards with her friends. (I always said she had more of a social life than me!)
Summers were spent at the beach house and every time we’d be coming she would stock up on all of our favorite drinks and snacks. She welcomed anyone and everyone in with open arms.
Everyone that she knew who was having a baby got a special handmade blanket. Cousin brothers sisters wife ??? they’re getting a blanket too!
The amount of love I was given my whole life by such an amazing women is unmatched. I am truly blessed to have so many wonderful years & memories.
No birthday will be the same without her homemade cakes. No holiday will be the same without her Mac & cheese. I’ll miss you everyday but I find peace in knowing Uncle Robbie is holding you close until we meet again. I love you Mom-Mom 🤍🤍 your “Jessie Girl”

  10. Bill, You probably don’t remember me. I was married to Archie Murphy many, many moons ago. My best friend Mary Ganster and I would hang out with Patti at the Trainor Swim Club during the summertime, and I would see and chat with Patti on occasion at Chi. I’m pretty sure Patti was on the drill team or a member of the color guard because I remember seeing her on the bus when we went to away games. Just wanted to express my sorrow to you and your family for your loss. May God grant you peace knowing that Patti is now with the Lord and no longer suffering.

  27. I was probably 14 yrs old when I first met Patti. Although not super close through the years our paths would occasionally cross at dances or reunions or having lunch with mutual friends.
She always had a smile on her face and was the perfect hostess when Tom and I would visit at their place in Pot Nets.
Once again heaven has opened her arms and welcomed their newest angel. If there is an Elvis tribute band up there she will surely be in the front row.

To her family, cherish old memories and continue to make new ones in her honor.

    Teresa Fry
