Norberto D. Ferriera (Dias), 93, of Upper Chichester passed away on Sunday, February 1^st, 2026 Surrounded by his family.  He was born in Chester to the late, Manuel and Mary Dias Ferreira.  He was raised in Linwood and attended Chichester High School.  Norberto was a veteran of the US Coast Guard with whom he served for 4 years.  He spent many years as a lab technician for the DuPont Company until his retirement.  He also worked for many years at the Brandywine Racetrack.

Norberto was a horse racing enthusiast.  He also enjoyed spending time at his beach house and with family and friends.

He was predeceased by his wife, Barbara Ferreira (2017); son, Norman Jeffrey Ferreira (2023); brother, Manuel Dias Ferreira.

He is survived by his children, Jacqueline Ferreira (Scott), Janice Carlson (Otto), James Ferreira, Joyce Adams (John); 8 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; sister, Anita Bowhall.

His funeral services and burial will be private.
