Nathleen M. “Talla” Bell nee Biordi, of Linwood section of Lower Chichester, died April 12, 2009 at the University of Penn. Hospital, Phila. She was born in Willianburg, PA., and reared in Chester to the late Luciano and Rose Figurelle Biordi, educated and graduated from Chester High School. She has lived in Linwood since 1972. She was a bartender for the Wharf Tavern in Aston for 35 years and for the last 5 years at Lucky’s Diner in Wilmington, DE. She was a member of Holy Saviour Catholic Church, a recent member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Claymont, DE., and a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary prayer group. A devoted Mother and grandmother she especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed cooking for her family on the holidays.
She was the wife of the late Earl Bell who died in 2005, also predeceased by her son DJ and daughter Rhonda, brother; Angelo, Donald Biordi, and sister Candy Parker.
She was survived by sons, Jeffrey Workman of Aston, Jason Hazlett of West Chester, and daughters, Harriet Grast of West Chester and Holly Haggety of Elkton, MD.
Also survived by brothers; Raymond Biordi of Williamburg, PA William Biordi and Michael Biordi both of Wilmington, DE. And sister, Theresa “Tess” Culbert of Linwood. 8 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren.
Friends and Family may call Friday, from 10 to 11AM at Holy Saviour Catholic Church. Memorial Mass, 11AM at the Church. Inurnment, Immaculate Heart of Mary Cemetery, Upper Chichester.
