Nancy M. Cannon

July 15th, 2024

Nancy M. Cannon passed away peacefully at her home on July 12, 2024.  Nancy is survived by her sisters Beatrice Pfander (Brian Hare), Joann Wachter (John), and Erin Clements (James).  Additionally, she is survived by her nephews, Joseph Pfander, and Aidan Clements and niece Kaitlin Clements.

Nancy was predeceased by her parents Joseph and Beatrice Cannon and her nephew William Clements.

Nancy was a lifelong resident of Delaware County and she loved her home in Linwood.  She graduated from Notre Dame High School in Moylan, PA.  She was a long time employee of the Chester Post Office.  Nancy had a full life, and stubbornly lived on her own terms.  She brought fun everywhere she went, her smile was contagious, and she forgave easily.  Nancy could talk to anyone and had more friends than most.  Her devotion to her pets was legendary – she rescued all shapes and sizes.  She was much loved by her family and her roommate Joe Heil.

The family will receive friends at Joseph A Ward Funeral Home, 1459 Market Street, Linwood, PA on Saturday, August 3 from 10 to 11 am, followed by a funeral service at the same location.  Burial will be private

  1. Nancy was a wonderful person and a great client. She was joyful and had a fantastic sense of humor. I don’t usually get personal with client’s but Nancy was a hard person not to feel strongly about. She would light up a room with her warmth, and yes, she is and will be missed for a very long time.

  2. Rest easy, my friend I will miss our long talks and your constant smile I know your pain is gone now. Sincere condolences to your family
