Mildred E. Stewart Spevak, 62 of the Linwood section of Lower Chichester died Friday March 26, 2010 at home. Born in Chester to Elmer and Mildred Pennington Stewart. She was reared and educated in Upper Chichester and has lived in Linwood for the last 19 years.

She was a secretary for the Delco Library System in Lima for 20 years before retiring in 2003. She was also a woman who devoted her life to her home and family. A member of the Covenant Fellowship Church in Glen Mills and was a helper for the church’s Alpha Program which introduces people in the Christian Faith. She also enjoyed Country Line dancing, and time spent at the Maryland Shore.

Survived by her husband of 25 years, Charles J. Spevak. Two sons Robert C. Spevak of New Freedom, Pa. and Kevin J. Spevak of Glenolden. One daughter Joanne Tyler of Bensalem. Two brothers Elmer Stewart, Jr. and Mark Stewart both of Upper Chichester. One sister Dana DiRusso of Upper Chichester. Five grandchildren.

Her funeral service will be Thursday, April 1st, 11am at the Covenant Fellowship Church, One Fellowship Dr., Glen Mills, PA 19342, where there will be calling from 9 to 11 at the church. Burial will follow in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Aston.
