Mary Pettinati Larotonda, 92, of Boothwyn, PA passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 30, 2019. She was born and raised in Marcus Hook, PA. She graduated from Eddystone High School in Chester, PA and worked at Fidelity Bank and later as a dedicated homemaker to her family.
Mary enjoyed bowling, reading and painting ceramics. She was a devout Catholic woman and was a member of the Immaculate Conception of Lourdes Church in Marcus Hook, PA.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Settimio and Ida Pettinati; brothers Nicholas, Joseph, Frank and Father Vincent Pettinati; her sisters, Maria Pettinati, Anne Pettinati Preziuso and Phyllis Wrench Thompson. She is also preceded in passing by her beloved husband Samuel Larotonda and grandson David Larotonda.
She is survived by her children, Son, Joseph Larotonda, Daughter in Law, Marian Smith Larotonda, Daughter, Ida Larotonda Hogans (Rick); her 4 grandchildren, Brian Larotonda, Kerry Larotonda (Josh), Jessica Hogans and Ricky Hogans and great granddaughter Giuliana Mae Hunt; many nieces and nephews.
A viewing will be held on Tuesday, November 5, 2019 from 9:30 – 10:30 am at Immaculate Conception of Lourdes Church, 21 West 8th St., Marcus Hook, PA. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:30. Interment will be at Immaculate Heart of Mary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to “Maris Grove Resident Care Fund”, Maris Grove Office of Philanthropy, 200 Maris Grove Way, Glen Mills, PA 19342.
Dear Joe and Marian – You are in my prayers. The loss of a parent is very hard to accept, but you will always have good memories. Your Mother was a loving person who lived a good life and is now at peace. She will be misssed.

Dear Joe and family, I know the spirit of the Lord is with you knowing that your mother is in her final resting place. A place that God has prepared specifically for Mary Larotonda. My personal prayer is with you, and I trust you will find comfort in celebrating your mother’s long devoted Christian life.
