Martin A. “Mardi” Toscano, 45 years old passed away suddenly February 16, 2009 at home. Born and raised in Chester, PA to the late Joseph and Mildred Barratt Toscano. Mardi was a veteran of the US Marine Corps and resided in Wilmington DE for the past year and a half, previously residing in the Linwood section of Lower Chichester.

Mardi loved his family and was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He was employed as a Food Production Manager for the North Philadelphia Health Systems working at Girard Medical Center for the past 7 years. He was previously employed by The Concordville Inn, Turf Club, Red Snapper, and Chadds Ford Tavern.

Mardi enjoyed listening to music and working with food which was not only his job but was also his hobby, he really enjoyed cooking.
He was predeceased by his parents Joseph and Mildred Toscano and sister Josephine McDermott. His is survived by his wife of 5 years Shannon S. Toscano, nee Eggers, and children Lauren, Stacy, Dylan, and Dominic, 1 granddaughter Reagan Garland, his brother Gerald Tucker, and sisters Sondra Livingston and Teresa Fry.

Family and friends are invited to his funeral service Friday 3pm, Joseph A. Ward Funeral Home. Inc., 1459 Market St., Linwood PA; viewing 1-3pm Friday at Wards; burial private.
