Marilyn E. Stafford, nee Green 69 years old, passed away April 28, 2009 at Riddle Memorial Hospital. Born and raised in Saratoga Springs New York to the late John and Bernice Goodwin Green.
Marilyn was employed by PNC Bank as a Teller Supervisor, retiring in 1995. She was a resident of Brookhaven since 1966 and was very involved with her family and her church.
A loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, Marilyn enjoyed traveling, gardening, and the casinos. Some of her favorite destinations were Las Vegas, Reno, and Atlantic City. Marilyn and her husband also owned a vacation home at Lake Garrison.
A longtime member of Parkside United Methodist Church, she was involved with the Adcouncil, Administrative Board, and she was a Junior Church Teacher at the church. She was also active with The American Junior Bowling Congress, where she was a coach and instructor and she was an avid bowler.
She was predeceased by her husband Allen E. Stafford in 2004, and her parents John and Bernice Green. She is survived by her 3 sons Kevin D. (Sharon) Stafford of Carlise, PA, John A. (Brenda) Stafford of Reno, NV, and Dean R. (Bonnie) Stafford of Pocopson, PA, 1 daughter Kelly M. (Thomas) Lucas of Wallingford, PA, 1 sister Evelyn R. (Ron) Hirst of Oneida Castle, NY, 8 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to her memorial service Saturday 10:30, with calling from 10-10:30 in Parkside United Methodist Church Edgemont Ave and Roland Rd, Parkside PA 19015. Burial Mt Hope Cemetery.
