Marie B. Ward, 73 years old resident of Aston, passed away June 1, 2009 at Taylor Hospice. Born and raised in Chester to the late Robert L. and Louise Racine Barnard, Marie graduated from Chester High School class of 1953. Marie was employed by Scott Paper in Chester as a CR retiring in 1983 after 28 years with the company.

Marie was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, devoting her life to her home and family. She was a longtime member of Kingdom Hall Jehovah’s Witness’s, Brookhaven Congregation, and was very involved with the church and Field Service through her church. She was a resident of Aston for 51 years.

Marie was predeceased by her parents Robert and Louise Barnard and her husband Robert “Sam” Ward in 1996. She is survived by her daughter Gale M. Ward of Garnet Valley and 1 grandson Brent.

Family and friends are invited to her memorial service, Saturday, June 6, at 1:00PM at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness, 331 N. Middletown Rd., Media PA 19063.

In lieu of flowers contributions would gratefully be accepted by Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness, Brookhaven Congregation, 331 N. Middletown Rd., Media PA 19063.
