Margaret C. Cross, nee Caratello, passed away on Sunday, March 9th at Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital. She was born and raised in Chester to the late Lucille and Louis Caratello. Margaret was the owner of Dave’s Auto Body in Chester for over 50 years. She went on to work as a quality care nurse in various nursing homes throughout the area. She also worked for the Cerebral Palsy Association. Margaret devoted her life to helping handicap children. She was a loving mother and wife. Margaret was devoted to caring for her family.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her siblings, James, Michael, Louis, and William Caratello, Philomena Magior, Kathleen Duple, Lucille Cook, Yolanda Yezuita; sons, David, Jr., and Ricky Cross (Velvet); daughter, Kathleen Bryck (Joe); grandson, Joey Cross; granddaughter, Alexis Cross; great-grandsons, Sage Cross, and Enzo Atlatenco-cross
She is survived by her husband, David Cross; son, Roy Cross (Lori); 12 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
Her funeral service will be held on Monday, March 17th at 11am. Friends and family are invited for viewing from 10-11am at the Joseph A. Ward Funeral Home 1459 Market St. Linwood, PA. Burial will follow in Lawn Croft Cemetery.
My thoughts and prayers are with the family. I especially hope my Uncle David will be comforted to know we are thinking and praying for you. I know he loved Aunt Margaret very much. I will keep you in my prayers.
