Margaret Ann Rementer Reese – 8/10/2023

September 20th, 2023

Peggy to most, mom to some, grand mom, nana and great grandmother to those who were fortunate to have known her, died peacefully surrounded by her family and loved ones at White Horse village in Newtown square Pa. She was 92 yrs old.

Born on Christmas Eve of 1930, Peggy was a devoted daughter to Edwin and Mildred Rementer of Prospect Park, Pa. She and her brother Edward were fortunate to be raised next door to her aunts and uncles. This instilled a strong sense of family and family tradition.

Peggy loved her job at NW Ayer in Philadelphia and had fond memories of taking the trolley to the advertising agency. It was there that she met and married Dale L Reese, a student at Temple University at the time. The couple moved to the suburbs to start a family. This is also where Peggy’s passion for riding horses blossomed. Whether it was fox hunting, dressage or cross country she could always be found on horseback. Despite her petite stature at 5’1” and 100lbs, she fearlessly rode 16-17 hand horses.

Peggy’s commitment to horses, music and the arts were evident in her numerous committee chairs held. Her beloved Radnor Hunt Club, where she also enjoyed teaching pony club to future equestrians, and the Devon Horse Show were clearly her favorites. In later years she turned her attentions toward the Curtis School of music and the Philadelphia Zoo, where she made fast friends with like-minded adventurers. They enjoyed traveling together to Brazil, Morocco and an African safari, even though she was petrified of snakes.

Peggy will be missed by many but the memories she’s created along her life’s journey will be with us always.

Peggy is survived by her 4 children – Barbara Miller, Carol Worth, Kurt Reese, and Megan Van Sinderen – along with her 8 cherished grandchildren – Dale, Devin, Quentin, Taylor, Luke, Mason, Carter, and Wyatt and great-granddaughter, Reese. Peggy also leaves behind countless friends and well-wishers whose lives were touched by her presence. A Celebration of Life will be held on October 13, 2023, at 11 am at Lawn Croft Cemetery, 100 West Ridge Rd. Linwood, PA 19061, to honor Peggy’s extraordinary journey.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to The Alzheimer’s Association at https://www.alz.org.
