Maisie D. Slavin, 102, formerly of Marcus Hook, passed away on Wednesday, September 30th at Crozer Keystone Hospice. She was born in Chester and grew up in several different locations throughout the Delaware Valley. She graduated from Eddystone High School. After the passing of her husband, Maisie went on to have a long career working in the recorder of deed’s office in Delaware County until her retirement. She was a long-time member of Marcus Hook Baptist Church. What she enjoyed most was spending time with her family.
She was predeceased by her husband, Frank Slavin in 1972; sisters, Agnes Boulden and Lynn Aebli; brother, Joseph Davis; nieces, Lois Boulden and Joan Brenhuber.
She is survived by her sons, David Slavin (Denise) and Geoff Slavin (Colleen); grandchildren, Frank, Michael, Sydney, Meredith, and Liza.
Her funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 7th at 12pm at the Joseph A. Ward Funeral Home 1459 Market St. Linwood, PA 19061. Friends and family are invited to her viewing from 11am-12pm at the funeral home. Burial to follow will be private..
