Louis “GiGi” Argentine, 79 years old, passed away February 5, 2008 at home with his family by his side. Born and raised in Marcus Hook to the late Angelo and Pauline Luberti Argentine, GiGi was a resident of Marcus Hook for all of his life.
He was a veteran of the US Army, and worked in the Barrell House at Sinclair Refinery for 18 years. He was inducted into the Delaware County Old Timers and the Delaware County Sportsman Hall of Fame. GiGi enjoyed working Bingo with several churches and firehouses in Linwood and Chichester area. An avid hunter and fisherman he was also a 3rd Degree Knight with the Knights of Columbus. He also loved to play Pinocle.
GiGi was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather and devoted much of his free time to his family whom he loved dearly. He was predeceased by his parents, his son Joseph Argentine, and his sister Mary Manercha.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Rosaria Argentine, nee Bonaduce, and 3 children, Lisa Young of Marcus Hook, Angela Davis of Newark DE, and Louis Argentine of Garnet Valley section of Upper Chichester, 1 brother Albert Argentine of Delaware, and 2 sisters Hilda DiCarlo of Brookhaven and Eleanor Argentine of Wilmington DE, 8 grand children 2 great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Funeral and burial are private. In lieu of flowers donations to the Charity of the donors choice.
