Lorene C. Coalson, nee Grantham, 81 years old, of Boothwyn passed away February 26, 2008 at Riddle Memorial Hospital Middletown PA. Mrs. Coalson was born and raised in Union, Mississippi to the late Joe and Carrie Grantham, and resided in Boothwyn section of Upper Chichester for 58 years since 1950.

She belonged to St. John Fisher Catholic Church, The Upper Chichester Senior Citizens, and enjoyed bowling and gardening. She also loved the beach, and watching the Philadelphia Sports Teams, especially the Philadelphia Phillies.

Mrs. Coalson worked in the Finishing Department at the former Scott Paper Co in Chester for 32 years, retiring in 1986. She was the first negotiating committee and Shop Steward for Local 448.

Lorene was predeceased by her husband of 26 years, William J. Coalson and her daughters Shirley Coalson Weitzel and Carol A. Coalson Restucci. She is survived by her son William J. Coalson, Sr. of Townsend DE, 3 grandchildren Michael J. Losak of Boothwyn, William J. Coalson, Jr. of Middletown DE, and Kristen L. Coalson of Townsend DE, and great grandchildren, Michael J. Losak, II, Jared Andrew and Alexa Marie Coalson.

Relatives and friends are invited to her funeral service Saturday, 11am, Joseph A. Ward Funeral Home, 1459 Market St., Linwood, calling at the funeral home Saturday 9-11, burial private.
