Kevin M. Murray

Kevin M. Murray of Upper Chichester passed away on Wednesday, August 20th at his home.  Kevin was born in Chester to Arthur and Kathleen Murray.  Kevin was a graduate of Chichester High School in 1977.  Kevin was a veteran of the US Navy.  He worked for over 20 years as an electrician for Phoenix Steel before starting his own business, as a Process Heating Specialist.

Kevin enjoyed target shooting, horse shoes and darts.  He was a music enthusiast, especially of rock & roll.  He also loved animals especially dogs.  Kevin was a member of the Knights of Columbus.  He was predeceased by his father, Arthur C. Murray.

He is survived by his mother, Kathleen Murray; siblings, Stephen (Diana), Lori Showalter (Rich); niece Christina Thomas (Brandon) and one great niece and nephew.

His Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, August 29th at 10:30am at St.  John Fisher Church 4110 Chichester Ave.  Boothwyn, PA.  Friends and family are invited for visitation from 9:30-10:30am in church.  Inurnment will follow in Lawn Croft Cemetery.

  1. I had the pleasure of working many times with Kevin. We were good friends. Kept in touch even after jobs.
    Called each other at least once a month. He will be greatly missed. Smart man!!!!

  2. I just saw this and want to express my deepest condolences. Kevin did a lot of work for Bloom Engineering and I worked closely with him for over 10 years. He was excellent at his job and a lot of fun to work with. He will be missed by all his coworkers. I am sorry we just found out about this today.

  3. I am sad to learn of this. I always enjoyed talking with him when he came to the Watervliet Arsenal. Rest in Peace friend.

  4. Kevin took the photos of my wedding 30 years ago and did a great job for us. He and Steven were my cousins and when we were young we always hung out together whenever we visited Pennsylvania. I am so sorry for this family loss!

  5. Kevin was a very good friend of mine.Done him for grade school all the way through graduation man playing horseshoes, guns, he’ll truly be missed.God bless you kevin I love you Brian.
