Kenneth Robert Joseph Miles, affectionately known as RJ, passed away on September 27, 2025, at the age of 69.  RJ was born to the late J. Kenneth and Ruth Bordley Miles of Chester, Pennsylvania.  He was a graduate of Chester High School with the class of 1974.   RJ married the love of his life, Mary Lou Hangholt, in 1985 and soon after moved to Linwood, Pennsylvania where he resided for the past 35 years.  He worked at Taylor Hospital as the Facilities Manager for over 27 years until his retirement. RJ enjoyed spending time with his family, bowling in several local leagues, and collecting Beatles memorabilia.  He was an avid Beatles fan since childhood.  Always a devoted husband, father, brother, and uncle, who was known by all as a kind and gentle person.

He was predeceased by his wife, Mary Lou Miles (2019).  He is survived by his sons, Robert Miles and James Miles (Brittany); sister, Mary Ellen Orner (Rick); nieces, Victoria Glenn (James) and Rebecca Orner; nephew, Fr. Anthony Hangholt; great nieces, Claire and Hannah Glenn; brother-in-law, Robert Hangholt (Faith).

His memorial service will be held on Monday, October 6^th at 11am.  Friends and family are invited for visitation from 10-11am at the Joseph A. Ward Funeral Home 1459 Market St. Linwood, Pa.  Inurnment will follow in Lawn Croft Cemetery.  Donations in his name can be made to Wills Eye Hospital at Giving | Wills Eye Hospital.
