Karen A. Chant – 9/20/2022

Karen Ann Horn Chant, of Linwood, PA, passed away on September 20th, 2022 at Crozer Chester Medical Center.  She was raised and educated in Linwood and was a graduate of Chichester High School.  Karen went on to earn a Bachelor’s Degree from the Culinary Art Institute of Philadelphia.  She worked as a chef in several different establishments in the Delaware Valley area.  Karen enjoyed spending time with her family.  She loved being with her children, going shopping with her mom.  She was also a roller coaster enthusiast.   She loved going to Dorney Park and Hershey Park just to ride the roller coasters. She was also a huge fan of the Philadelphia Eagles. Fly Eagles Fly.  Karen enjoyed her time as  a Girl Scout Leader and liked helping in the cookie booths with her daughter.

Karen was predeceased by her brother, Steven D. Horn, II who died in 2021; grandparents, Merrill and Dorothy Salter, Raymond and Catherine Horn; uncles, Charles Horn, William Litty, Barry Horn, James Stephano, and John Firko; cousin, Sgt. James Lyons

She is survived by her daughter, Kayla Chant; son, Samuel Hall; mother, Diane Horn; father, Steven Horn; step-mother, Charlene Horn; fiancé, Oliver Reaves; adopted daughter, Tamara Borkey; granddaughters, Brella &Riley; best friend, Michelle Leary; step-sister, Samantha; step-brothers, Hubert and Eddie; many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Her funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 28th at 12pm at the Joseph A. Ward Funeral Home 1459 Market St. Linwood, PA.  Friends and family are invited to her viewing from 11am-12pm at the funeral home.  Burial will be private.
