Joseph Vincent Palmer sadly passed away on Wednesday, July 26 at Taylor Hospital. He grew up in Chester and worked as a dedicated CDL driver for many years prior to retiring. Joey enjoyed everything crabbing and fishing, gardening, taking care of the family dog and spending quality time with his family.
He is predeceased by his mother Rosemary Palmer, his father Jack Palmer, his sisters Christine Peisochenski and Kathleen Palmer, his nephew Joseph Palmer, and his grandson Edward Pascale.
He is survived by his wife Ruth, his children Holly (Jim) Alicia,( Carl) Kate, and Abbie, his grandchildren Carl, Joey, Anthony, and Lena, his sisters Donna Zabilowicz and Lisa Palmer and numerous nieces and nephews.
Joey’s life will be honored by a church service held at Saint George Church in Glenolden at a later date, followed by a private burial.

Joey always had a smile and easy pace. His children and grandchildren were his biggest joy.
