John J. Sinnott, 81 of the Boothwyn section of Upper Chichester died Sunday March 14, 2010 at Riddle Memorial Hospital Media. Born to John and Rebecca Rae Sinnott in Berwyn, PA where he was reared and educated. He attended Conestoga High School.
He was a chef for the Riddle Ale House in Media for over 30 years and spent several years at the Hideaway Lounge in North Wilmington also as a bartender. After that he worked as a courier for the Hartzell Machine Works in Twin Oaks for ten years before retiring in 2000.
A veteran of the U.S. Navy and member of the American Legion Post #951 of Ogden. He enjoyed playing golf and was an avid sports fan.
He was predeceased by his son Jack L. Sinnott who died in 1974. Survived by two sons Stephen R. Sinnott of Drexel Hill and Richard J. Sinnott of Boothwyn. One daughter Suzanne R. Lambert of Virginia Beach, VA. Two grandsons and one great-grandson.
His memorial service took place on Friday March 19th. Donations may be made in his name to the American Legion Post #951, 2638 Ogden Ave., Boothwyn, PA 19061.
