John J. “Pop Pop” Witkowski, 65, of Aston died Wednesday June 29, 2010 at home. He was born in Philadelphia to Eugene and Antoinette Heraty Witkowski. He later moved to Chester, PA where he was reared and educated, graduating from Chester High School.
He worked as a supervisor for Sun Ship Dry Dock company of Eddystone for 10 years. He also worked for the M & G company as a truck driver for 15 years until his retirement. He enjoyed listening to music, and he loved to dance. He especially cherished time spent with his grandchildren. He was a long time member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Aston.
Husband of 45 years to Marie Gaglioti Witkowski. Survived by his Mother, Antoinette Heraty Witkowski Carroll of Florida; Two Daughters, Michelle Witkowski and Debbie June both of Aston, Pa; Four brothers, Paul Witkowski and Michael Witkowski both of Florida, Joseph Witkowski and Walter Witkowski both of South Carolina; One Sister, Maureen Witkowski of North Carolina; Five Grandchildren.
His funeral Mass will be 10:00am Saturday July 3, 2010 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Aston, PA. Friends and Family may call Saturday morning from 9am-10am at the church. Burial will be private.
