Jennie K. Starrantino, 89 years old, passed away March 10, 2008 at home with her family by her side. Born and raised in Marcus Hook to the late Angelo and Josephine Fiumara Starrantino. Jennie was a longtime resident of North Crest section of Wilmington, DE.

She was a prior member of Immaculate Conception of Lourdes Church in Marcus Hook and a member of the BVM Sodality at Immaculate Conception. She has been an active member of Holy Child Catholic Church in Wilmington since moving to North Crest several years ago.

She was an avid baseball fan following the Philadelphia Phillies. She enjoyed reading recipe books and enjoyed cooking. She was a loving and devoted sister and aunt, and always looked out for her family, telling them to be careful wherever they went.

She was employed by Allied Chemical retiring in 1981 after 28 years of employment. Previously she worked for McCrory’s in Chester for 22 years.

She was predeceased by her parents Angelo and Josephine Fiumara Starrantino and siblings Rose and Millie Starrantino. Jennie is survived by her siblings Jack and Bernice Starrantino of Abington, PA, Samuel and Mary Starrantino of Linwood PA, Mary Sgro of Ridley Park, and Josephine and Ernie Simms of Claymont DE, also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to her funeral Mass Sat 10:30am in Holy Child Catholic Church, 2500 Naamans Rd, Wilmington DE, viewing Friday 7-9pm and Saturday 9-10am at Joseph A. Ward Funeral Home. Inc., 1459 Market St. Linwood. Burial Immaculate Heart of Mary Cemetery.
