James Leo Smith “Smitty”, 66 years old, passed away April 26, 2008 at Crozer Chester Medical Center Upland. Born in Sayre and raised in Ulster PA to Howard Leo and Marion Gertrude Hubbard Smith. Smitty was a resident of Boothwyn, Upper Chichester for the past 40 years.

Smitty was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was a huge fan of anything mechanical, especially automobiles. He was very interested in Nascar racing, enjoyed traveling, was a motorcycle enthusiast, and fully restored his 57 Chevy.

He was employed by Crozer Chester Medical Center for 20 years he was also employed by Metro machine in Philadelphia, St Francis Hospital In Wilmington DE and Nelsons Automotive in Boothwyn. He was also owner of Smitty’s Auto Parts.

He was predeceased by his father Howard Leo Smith. He is survived by his wife of 45 years Janet A. Smith nee McMinn, 2 daughters Deborah K. Capauno of Aston and Denise J. Smith of Boothwyn, his mother Marion Gertrude Smith of Boothwyn, 1 sister Sandra L. Boehm of Boothwyn 3 grandchildren and 1 great grandson, also survived by a niece, nephew, aunts uncles cousins and m any friends.

Relatives and friends are invited t o his funeral Wednesday 12 noon in Woodlyn Baptist Church, McDade Blvd and School Lane Woodlyn,, calling at the church from 10:30-12. Burial private.
