James A. Poore, Sr. 66, of Marcus Hook, Passed away on October 22™* at Crozer Chester Medical Center. He was born in Chester and raised and educated in Marcus Hook. He was proud member of the Operating Engineers Local 542. Jim was a motorcycle enthusiast. He was a great father. He enjoyed taking trips to the beach and loved family gatherings. Jim was always there to help a person in need. His heart was always pure.
What he enjoyed most was spending time with his children, grandchildren and his dog, little bear.
He was predeceased by his parents, Raymond and Catherine Poore, his sibling Patty Powell and Michael Poore. He is survived by his wife, Laura Poore; children, Alexis Poore, Jessica Smith, and James Poore, Jr.; grandchildren, Amiyah, Jayda, Rasheed, Bryson, and Ro; sister, Joan Elliott.
His funeral service will be held on Thursday November 2nd at 7:30pm at the Joseph A. Ward Funeral Home 1459 Market St.
Linwood, PA. Friends and family are invited to his viewing from 6-7:30. Burial will be private.
I so sorry to hear this. Jimmy and I grew up next door to each other in the late 69’s and early 79’s. Condolences to his family.

So sorry for your loss. I remember Jimmy as a kid living next door to me. We really enjoyed sitting and talking on the porches that were connected to each other. I am sure he is at peace. God bless him.
