Hazel W. Bradley, nee Taylor, 81 years old of Boothwyn, formerly of Chester, passed away May 4, 2009 at home. Born and raised in Mayo County, Galway Ireland to Benjamin and Winifred McNeely Taylor, Mrs. Bradley came to the United Sates in 1954. She had been a resident of Chester until 1986 when she moved to Boothwyn section of Upper Chichester Twp.
Mrs. Bradley was employed by the City of Chester as a Tax Collector for 8 years and she worked for Highland Pharmacy for 5 years. She was a longtime member of Resurrection of Our Lord Parish in Chester and a member of the Irish American Club of Chester.
Mrs. Bradley was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and aunt. She was an avid bingo player and loved going to the casino’s and spending time with her family. She also enjoyed planting flowers and gardening.
She was predeceased by her husband of 16 years John G. Bradley in 1972, her parents Benjamin and Winifred Taylor and siblings Maureen and Benjamin. She is survived by her children Jack Bradley, Maureen Gordon, and Michael Bradley, 1 sister Nancy Furey, 1 brother Seamus Taylor, 5 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to her funeral Mass Friday 10:30am, St. John Fisher Catholic Church; viewing 9-10 Friday morning, Joseph A. Ward Funeral Home. Inc., 1459 Market St., Linwood; burial Immaculate Heart of Mary Cemetery.
