October 12th, 2025

Gloria Jean Jorge passed away in Honeybrook, PA on October 7th, 2025. Gloria was born the youngest of 11 children to the late Arthur and Mary Smith in upstate Pennsylvania. She was a graduate of Chichester High School in Boothwyn, PA. Gloria worked for many years for Giant Food Stores until her retirement in 2022.
She enjoyed scrapbooking and weekends away with her daughter – a trip to the beach was always her favorite. She could spend hours curled up on her couch with her word-search books, and usually a dog or two. She loved playing BINGO, going to the casino with her sisters, and any type of card game –and she was surprisingly good at Scrabble! She loved to dance when she was feeling free, but was equally content sitting on the front porch with a cup of coffee.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Jason Jorge in 2023. She is survived by her daughter, Daniella Kurland (Mike); grandson, Elijah Kurland; sisters, Sandy Losak and Elsie Masteller; sisters-in-law, Liz Bauer and Millie Swenson; ex-husband, Dan Sciarra; many nieces and nephews.
Her funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 16th at 11am at the Joseph A. Ward Funeral Home 1459 Market St. Linwood, PA. Friends and family are invited to her viewing from 10-11am. Burial will follow in Lawn Croft Cemetery.
